Boswellia Seratta, or Indian Frankincense, is a resin extracted from the Boswellia tree. It can support the body in dealing with increased inflammation. Boswellia is most loved by people with osteoarthritis and other inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis,
inflammatory bowel disease, and asthma.
Burdock root (arctium lappa) is sometimes eaten as a root
vegetable in Japan. It has historically been used for arthritis, gout, inflammation, and also healthy skin, especially in those with eczema and psoriasis. Burdock root is known for supporting the body in expelling toxins, partly through its diuretic action.
Devil’s Claw (harpagophytum procumbens) comes from South Africa and is related to sesame plants. Italian research from 2019 has shown that it may have anti-inflammatory properties. Devil's claw contains several antioxidant and anti-inflammatory polyphenols, including
gallic acid, catechin, and resveratrol.
Sarsaparilla root (smilax aristolochiifolia) has long been used to support healthy joints, especially in those with rheumatism or arthritis. Discovered by Spanish conquistadors in Central America, Sarsaparilla was exported to Europe where it became an important cleansing herb, tonic, and anti-rheumatic herb.
